Plane flipped at Westfield-Barnes Regional Airport during Monday’s high winds

Hampden County

Monday’s high winds caused damage across western Massachusetts, including at airports.

Our 22News crew shot video of a flipped plane at the Westfield-Barnes Regional Airport Tuesday morning.

Airport Manager Eric Billowitz told 22News the small plane flipped about midday Monday due to the high winds.

Billowitz said the plane had been parked on a ramp and was not properly secured.

No one was injured when the plane flipped.
