SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Police in Springfield were conducting an investigation on Clifton Avenue in the city’s Six Corners neighborhood Sunday night.
Our 22News crew saw several cruisers. Officers were seen speaking with residents in the area and searching along the ground.
According to Springfield Police Spokesperson Ryan Walsh, at around 10:40 p.m., officers were called to the area of the 100 block of Clifton Avenue for a report of a gunshot victim. An adult woman who was privately taken to Baystate Medical Center is expected to survive.
The investigation is being conducted by the Springfield Police Department’s Detective Bureau.
