CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Three people were arrested Friday on Northern Drive in Chicopee after a report of an armed robbery.
According Chicopee Police Spokesperson Travis Odiorne, someone called 911 to report an armed robbery. Witnesses told police three men left the area and were seen entering another home on the same road. Chicopee police set up a perimeter around the building around 2:00 p.m. and secured the area, temporarily closing surrounding streets.
One of the suspects exited the home and was arrested. The Hampden County Regional Special Response Team was called in to assist. Once the team arrived, the two other suspects exited the home and were arrested without incident.
Surrounding schools were placed in a shelter in place during the investigation. As of 4:05 p.m., the area was reopened to the public.

Chicopee Police have not released the identifications of the suspects at this time and police are still investigating the incident.
