Power back on in Springfield after tree branch came down on wires

If you live near Watershops Pond in Springfield, your electric clocks might be off due to a power outage Sunday morning.

Springfield Fire Spokesman Dennis Leger told 22News a tree branch came down on some wires and arced-out a Transformer at South Branch Parkway and Ridgeway Circle.

According to the Eversource Outage Map, more than 1,400 customers lost power just before three this morning.

The number of customers without power was less than 50 by 9 a.m. Sunday morning, and all outages had been resolved by 10:30 a.m.
