A public meeting was held Tuesday night, addressing yet another company hoping to open a recreational pot shop in Springfield.

The Hill McKnight Neighborhood Council held the meeting to allow residents to consider the possibility of Six Bricks opening a facility on Albany Street.

Six Bricks would be run by Payton Shubrick.

Shubrick hopes her participation in the meeting, helps to build a relationship with community members.

“Because we can understand something new- something unknown can often be scary,” Shubrick told 22News. “So how can we partner with them so they can understand what we’re doing, how we’re doing it? So that we can start this business in good faith, starting on a good note.”

The Hill McKnight Neighborhood Council voted to write a letter of support for the Six Bricks’ application process.
