Puppy Love: Halloween dog wedding benefits local animal shelters

Here’s something you don’t see everyday.

A pair of dogs had a Halloween themed wedding at Agawam Dog Works daycare and grooming center Saturday.

The wedding doubled as a fundraiser for two local animal shelters. Food, raffles and dog costume contests were also featured at the event.

Anna Zina of Honey’s Memory Cat Shelter told 22News, “The amount of abandoned cats and dogs that can tend to overwhelm the systems…the money will be used to help them.” 

All proceeds from Saturday’s event will benefit homeless animals through TJO Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center in Springfield and In Honey’s Memory Cat Shelter in Huntington.
