Rinaldi’s in Longmeadow closing after more than 41 years

Hampden County

A staple Longmeadow restaurant will soon be closing its doors.

Monday, Rinaldi’s Italian Specialties announced on Facebook that the business is closing after more than 41-years of business.

Owners Robert and Carla Rinaldi, who are siblings, are retiring and closing the restaurant as a result.

22News spoke with Robert’s son who said his family is excited for this next chapter in their life.

“It’s a bittersweet moment for all of us,” said Joseph Rinaldi. “We love the community, we love the people, we love our staff. We’re going to miss all of them as well but well still be here in the community. We all live in town. It’s a big change but we’re looking forward to it.”

Rinaldi’s restaurant has been open since 1977.

Its closing date is set for June 30.
