River Road reopened in Agawam following water main break

Hampden County

AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – River Road is back open and water service has been restored to about 50 residents in Agawam following a water main break.

Agawam Water Superintendent Christopher Golba told 22News they repaired the break in a 6 inch water line on River Road by about 3:30 Tuesday afternoon.

The frozen ground is believed to have contributed the break.

Golba recommends that residents who have discolored water should run their cold water for about a minute until it becomes clear again.
