The Rugged Maniac 5K obstacle course race kicked off in Southwick Saturday.
The two-day event features a variety of obstacles that have participants jumping on trampolines, crawling through mud, jumping over fire, and more.
The race also feature a festival with a DJ, games, food, and activities.
The Southwick Police Department is expecting traffic delays around the areas of Feeding Hills and Powder Mills Roads.
They’re encouraging anyone participating in the race to give themselves enough time to get to the event safely and on time.
“What brought me out today is my group of friends,” said Shelby Marrin. “We all go to Crossfit Blue Diamond in East Longmeadow and we signed up as a team and through that experience we were able to complete these obstacles and have a great time.”
For those still interested in running the race, but not registered, tickets can still be bought for $100 or $90 for students and veterans. It is free to watch the race, but $15 to park.
The race continues Sunday at Motocross 338. The first wave of runners will start at 9:00 a.m.
