The Salvation Army of Holyoke is holding their annual turkey drive to help families in need this Thanksgiving.
In years past, the Salvation Army has received hundreds of turkeys. This year, the goal is to receive 500 turkeys. So far, just two have been donated but Captain Miguel Garces remains hopeful.
“We received help in the community for turkeys every year, every year. The community brings the turkey when they come,” said Garces.
You can help the Salvation Army meet their goal by donating frozen turkeys, along with non-perishable food, at the Salvation Army Holyoke Corps which is located at 271 Appleton Street in Holyoke.
