The Southwick Rotary Club is scheduled to host a community forum to discuss the opioid crisis Wednesday night.
According to Southwick Rotary Club Treasurer Ellen Miles, the forum will address the crisis in an effort to alleviate the devastating effects on local families and communities. Speakers include Hampden County Sheriff Nicholas Cocchi and recovering user Courtney Rex.
It will take place at the Southwick Town Hall at 6 p.m., and is open to the public. To get there, just put 454 College Highway in your GPS.
Miles said one of Cocchi’s goals is to take advantage of programs and awareness before someone would need to be incarcerated for various reasons regarding opioids and other drugs.
