The town of Southwick has lifted its mandatory outdoor water use restriction.

According to Southwick DPW Director Randal Brown, the lift is effective immediately due to the flows in the Westfield River sustaining levels above minimum thresholds.

Browns said the long-term weather forecast appears favorable, but the water department may need to re-enter a mandatory outdoor use restriction again before the end of the year.

The water restrictions have been in place since July 13.
