To help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Special Olympics, Springfield College played host to a volleyball tournament attended by 400 Special Olympians on 30 participating teams.
It’s the 7th year graduate students in the sports management and recreation department partnered with the special Olympics.
Lauren Lessard, a graduate student at the event, told 22News, “This is a field I want to be in. I’m studying occupational therapy here. I want to give back to the community.”
