Longmeadow and Springfield were chosen to join the Solarize Mass program back in November.
The program promotes small-scale solar electricity in participating communities across the state.
Longmeadow Solar Coach Steven Marantz told 22News multiple Longmeadow residents have signed contracts agreeing to switch to solar electricity.
Marantz said those residents will have their solar panels installed sometime in February, “Putting solar panels on your rooftop or in your backyard will not only save you money but help save the planet as well.”
We have information on how residents can sign up for the Solarize Mass program.
