The Springfield Arson and Bomb Squad is looking into several trash fires that were set Sunday morning.

According to Springfield Police Spokesperson Dennis Leger, when firefighters got to 10 Chestnut Street at 5:58 a.m. they found three trash fires that had been set intentionally.

Leger said a fire in the eleventh floor stair was out when firefighters got there, a second fire on the eighteenth floor hallway was put out by a resident, and the third fire on the thirtieth floor stairwell was also out when they arrived.

No one was injured, and the fires caused under $5,000 in damage.
