Springfield firefighters performed what they’re calling “a successful rescue” after a dog ended up at the other side of a bridge ledge on Allen Street Thursday evening.
Fire department spokesman Dennis Leger told 22News crews were called to 1 Allen St. for a small dog who was on the other side of the bridge.
The bridge ledge is about a 40ft. drop to the Mill River.
The dog was successfully brought over to the other side.
