Springfield law firm donates 250 turkeys to the Gray House

Hampden County

It’s not too early to help western Massachusetts agencies who provide Thanksgiving turkeys to families in need.

650 North End families in need enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner last year, thanks to the Gray House on Shelton Street. That number included 250 Turkeys donated by a prominent Springfield law firm, Pellegrini, Seeley, Ryan and Blakesly. Days ago, they notified the Gray House, the firm is donating another 250 Turkeys for this coming Thanksgiving.

“It definitely was a great experience for us. Many of our attorney’s came over and handed out the turkeys and it really made us feel like we were giving a little something back,” said Attorney Patrick McHugh.

“We were so excited when we got the call last year. It was a few weeks before Thanksgiving, so it really helped 250 extra families that we wouldn’t have served otherwise,” said Gray House Executive Director Teresa Liberti.

The Gray House expects to distribute at least the same number of Thanksgiving Turkeys as a year ago.
Including Turkeys for dozens of families whose children attend the nearby Gerena Community school.
