Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno is mourning his mother who passed away early Friday morning.
In a news release sent to 22News from the mayor’s office, Clara Sarno passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
Calling and visiting hours will be held on Sunday, April 22 at Forastiere Family Funeral & Cremation on 220 North Main Street in East Longmeadow from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
A funeral mass will follow on Monday, April 23 at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on 123 William Street in Springfield at 10 a.m.
Burial will be private and open to just family.
