SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield Police officers and residents got a head start on Easter Festivities Saturday.
More than 500 Springfield families came to the Holy Name Social Center for Springfield Police Department C3 Unit’s 4th annual Easter Party.
Children were able to meet local police officers who protect their community, while also having fun.
“We had a DJ, we had a breakfast with the bunny, which included pancakes and sausages, and it was a great, great day and a great event,” said Kim Rivera, C3 Forest Park Coordinator.
This annual Easter Party included an easter egg hunt and arts and crafts for children. The event is about establishing good relations between police officers and residents.
“Very friendly interaction and we had a lot of fun right ladies, yes and we hope there are more community events we can participate in,” said Springfield resident, Michelle Barnaby.
