Hampden County

Three Springfield police officers are being credited, for saving the life of a stabbing victim.

It all started just after 2 a.m. Friday morning, when Officers Siervo Jimenez, Dennis Borrero, and Sian Simpson were called to a report of a stabbing.

When they didn’t find the victim, they followed the sound of an alarm to a house on Shaine Circle, where a woman was suffering from a stab wound.

The officers performed first aid until EMT’s got there.

Doctors at Baystate Medical Center said their quick thinking, likely saved that woman’s life.
