The Springfield Regional Chamber held a Rise and Shine Business Breakfast Wednesday morning to help local businesses.
The event was emceed by 22News meteorologist Nick Bannin. The topic, attracting and retaining the best employees.
Springfield is surrounded by several large cities, but Chamber President Nancy Creed told 22News what makes western Massachusetts a great place to work.
“One of the things we have is really quality of life,” said Creed. “You’ve got the river, hiking, culture. I think for us as employers, you have to capitalize on that.”
Creed added that Springfield has an advantage attracting millennials because of the recent development downtown with MGM Springfield.
