The Springfield Rescue Mission Thursday distributed warm clothing to families in need.
Dozens of individuals and whole families came to the rescue mission to browse and select some winter clothing.
This was the rescue mission’s first annual Warm Clothing Distribution Day. Springfield resident Bill King selected a number of items he needed.
King told 22News he collected, “Winter coats, winter hats, gloves, pants. I wouldn’t have anywhere to go.”
All the clothing was donated by supporters of the Rescue Missions work on behalf of the homeless and the working poor.
