Mention the term ‘big game’ and we immediately think of the Super Bowl.
But the Springfield department of elder affairs inaugurated their own Big Game day. A series of games including Wii bowling to attract energetic members at the Raymond A. Jordan Senior center at Blunt Park.
Joanne Lucas found an acceptable middle ground between being sedentary and using the exercise room.
She told 22News, “Exercise, we don’t get any other exercise, I’m too old to do the exercise, we need that for this and for this”
The new big game day was off to a successful start. It will continue to be a Friday staple at the Springfield Senior Center.
