A free dinner was held Sunday night in Springfield to celebrate the holiday season.
The Boys and Girls Club Family Center in Springfield opened its doors to members of the community for the third annual Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday. The dinner is meant to bring everyone together during the holiday season.
Local organizations helped make the dinner possible, like the American International College, which provided several healthy side dishes.
Calleen Porter of Springfield told 22News, “It was very, very nice, the food was very good. I was glad to see so many people I haven’t seen in so many years, even though I still live in Springfield.”
The Boys and Girls Club served more than 200 guests.
