A right to life march was held in downtown Springfield on Tuesday morning.
Dozens of students from Pope Francis Preparatory School participated in a local March for Life that stepped off from St. Michael’s Cathedral on State Street.
Many of the students and school faculty carried signs that read “We choose life” as they marched from Saint Michael’s to the steps of Springfield City Hall.
“I’ve grown up as a Catholic in a Catholic family where they preach these values,” Joshua Sears told 22News. “And it’s something that grown on me since then.”
The Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts issued a statement to 22News saying that, regardless of anyone’s personal views, it’s important that abortion remain a safe, legal and accessible medical procedure.
