Teen boy struck by car in front of Ludlow school

Hampden County

A 14-year-old boy was taken to the hospital Tuesday morning after he was struck by a car in front of Baird Middle School.

Ludlow Police Sgt. Daniel Valadas told 22News the accident happened in a cross walk in front of the school, in an area where students are dropped off.

Valadas described the boys injuries as “non life-threatening,” and said it was a low-speed accident.

Police are continuing to look into what led up to the crash.
