Teenage girls received some future inspiration and career advice in Springfield Tuesday.
Girls Inc. of Holyoke partnered with MassMutual to run a Teen Leadership Academy at the High School of Commerce.
22News Reporter Ciara Speller shared her experiences as a multi-media journalist with the teenagers.
Girls learned leadership skills, time management skills, and how to dress for success at Tuesday’s event.
Stacey Taylor, College and Career Coordinator for Girls Inc., told 22News,”I love to say I create safe spaces for girls to use their voice and stand up for what they believe in and we do that by providing STEM programs, healthy sexuality and relationship programs, and of course college and career experiences.”
Girls Inc. empowers girls to succeed by providing trusting mentoring relationships in a “girls-only environment.”
