The Gray House nears goal of providing 600 Thanksgiving meals to families in need

Hampden County

Generous donors have made it possible for the Grey House to nearly reach its goal of providing turkeys for 600 Springfield families this Thanksgiving.

Donors have provided 550 turkeys for the Grey House to distribute to families in the North End Monday morning.

Grey House Executive Director Teresa Liberti is hopeful of getting the additional 50 Turkeys they need this weekend.

“This is a very stressful time for people so for us to be able to provide Thanksgiving meals is just really special and we are happy to do it,” said Liberti.

Donated Thanksgiving food keeps arriving at the Grey House.

Bay Path University students delivered vegetables Friday for the Thanksgiving dinners. And on Saturday, the Grey House expects hundreds of pounds to be delivered, made possible by students at Sabis International Charter School in Springfield.
