Town of Agawam warning residents of potential temporary water discoloration

Hampden County

The town of Agawam is warning residents of a brief possible change to their water quality.

The Agawam department of public works told 22News, fire hydrant flow testing will be taking place Wednesday and may cause some temporary water discoloration.

If your water is affected, you’re advised to run your cold water for 10 to 15 minutes or until the water runs clear.

If the color does not return to normal, you are asked to call the water department at (413) 821-0600.
