Truck, car and motorcycle show held at West Springfield High School

Hampden County

A local high school robotics team is hoping to raise funds to compete in events around New England.

A truck, motorcycle, and car show was held on the West Springfield High School grounds Saturday. For a small fee, exhibitors could enter their cars into the show to be judged.

Admission was free for spectators, although donations were appreciated. Participants enjoyed food, raffles and of course trophies.

22News spoke with Stephen Strauss, the VP of Project Nemesis Car Club, and he talked about the importance of the show.

“The car scene is a huge part of my life and a huge part of my club, Project Nemesis,” Strauss said. “We try to support all the events in the local area and sometimes even farther than that.”

All proceeds from the car show will benefit  “Project Jabberwocky,” West Springfield High School’s F.I.R.S.T Robotics Team.
