Vehicle pulled from river in Westfield

WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A vehicle had to be pulled from a river in Westfield Tuesday afternoon.

Westfield Police Lt. Jay Pitoniak told 22News the car was in the water off Ponders Hollow Road.

Lt. Michael Ugolik told 22News the driver was trying to wash mud off his tires.

Interstate Towing had to pull the car out of the river.

According to Ugolik, the driver was brought home to his family, and trespassing charges were filed.
