WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A portion of Amostown Road in West Springfield was closed after a truck struck a utility pole Wednesday.

According to the West Springfield Fire Department, Amostown Road was closed from Massachusetts Avenue to Homestead Avenue and power was out in the area. The road reopened just after 11 a.m. on Thursday.

Eversource was working to repair the power.

Mayor Reichelt says the rear entrance to the high school was also closed.
