Western Mass. residents complaining of rough ride on Springfield’s North End Bridge

Hampden County

After the announcement of the multi-million dollar reconstruction of the Morgan-Sullivan Bridge in West Springfield and Agawam, some western Massachusetts residents are pointing out other projects they’d like to see considered.

Viewers contacted 22News about the rough ride on the North End Bridge in Springfield.

“If they have money to spend on everything else they should fix these roads and bridges,” said Angel Colon of Springfield. “People use them to get to work every day and back.”

22News sent messages to MassDOT to see if the North End Bridge is being considered for reconstruction.

Transportation Department Spokesman Patrick Marvin said he is looking into it.
