A women’s networking event was held Tuesday night in Agawam.
The “Ladies Networking Night” was held by the Professional Women’s Chamber at Auntie Cathie’s Kitchen. The event gave new and existing Chamber members the opportunity to meet socially, and build new friendships.
Tania Spear, who is on the board for the Women’s Chamber, told 22News why the group was formed. “Some of the goals of the Professional Women’s Chamber are to empower women. We give scholarships to non-traditional women, and have luncheons and many events throughout the year.”
The Professional’s Women’s Chamber also partnered with Dress for Success for the night’s event. Women who attended the event brought gently-used professional clothing to be donated for less fortunate women, to help them when applying for jobs or attending interviews.
