An unusual combination of sweet and spicy food in Westfield Saturday.
The YMCA of Greater Westfield hosted their ninth annual Chocolate, Chowder and Chili Cookoff Saturday afternoon.
Chefs and local business owners were invited to come to promote their cooking for a cause.
For a small fee, guests were able to try out and vote for their favorite dish. All funds raised will support the YMCA’s LiveStrong program.
Chef Kristine Faricelli told 22News, why she participates every year, “We love doing charity cookoffs because this is a great way of supporting and showing that we really care about our community.”
LiveStrong at the YMCA is a free 12-week exercise program for cancer survivors who are currently in treatment or have completed treatment and need to regain their strength.
