38th Annual UMass Powwow celebrates Native American culture

AMHERST, Mass. (WWLP) – Native American culture was highlighted Saturday at an annual gathering in Amherst.

The 38th Annual UMass Powwow was held at the Curry Hicks Cage.

Hundreds came out for the event which featured a variety of traditional dances and drum groups.

Saturday’s event was organized by the Native American Student Association at UMass Amherst.
