Thousands of people gathered in Hampshire County in support of women.
The 3rd Annual Pioneer Valley Women’s March was held in Northampton Saturday afternoon.
The Women’s Wave to reflect the success of women in the midterms began at Sheldon Fields and ended at City Hall where a rally was held.
The rally featured local community speakers, music and was followed by a Community Activists’ Fair.
Rachel Gordon came down from Greenfield to show her support, she told 22News, “It’s all a work in progress. I just want people to remember that we have to be in it together and we have to be willing to have uncomfortable conversations with one another with a lot of love and a lot of patience.”
The Pioneer Valley Women’s March is one of hundreds of marches planned nationally and worldwide to mark the anniversary of the 2017 Intentional Women’s March.
