Students and staff walked the UMass campus Thursday night in an effort to make it a little safer.
The annual Walk for Light is a campus safety check led by the UMass Amherst Police Department.
Students and staff spread across campus to identify and report safety-related issues.
They look for things like poor or broken lighting, broken railings, uneven steps or other safety-related issues.
A final report will be sent to the campus departments for repair.
