For 18-years the Berkshire Blanket company outlet store in Ware has been a fixture at the Stone Mill Marketplace, but the outlet store will be closing sometime next year.
The store has been quite successful, but they say the reason for closing is that the adjoining warehouse is being relocated away from this property.
“We know that the store has been an institution and in the community,” Vice President Emily Pfeiffer told 22News. “We know that people look forward to the deals and we’ve been able to offer them. But it was just a financial decision.”
With the outlet store closing early next year, a company spokesman said their blankets will still be available online and at retail stores such as Bed, Bath and Beyond.
Berkshire Blanket was founded 25 years ago.
