Congressman Jim McGovern spoke at UMass Tuesday night as part of their View From Washington series.
Students and community members were able to ask McGovern questions directly.
McGovern, who chairs the House Rules Committee, is among the Democrats demanding the release of the full, unredacted Mueller report.
Some lawmakers are already pushing for impeachment proceedings against President Trump, but Special Counsel Robert Mueller didn’t find strong evidence of obstruction of justice or conspiracy.
McGovern said there are major decisions to be made once Congress is back in session, “After reading the Mueller report, nothing is off the table. We’re in recess right now, but when we get back into session this week, there will be some serious discussions among members of Congress.”
Congress returns to session on April 29.
