Pothole season continues, and one road in Northampton seems to be particularly bad.
It’s becoming an expensive pothole season for many, and drivers are trying to avoid the big craters on Damon Road.
Many drivers say the stretch of road always gets potholes this time of year, but this year seems to be worse than previous.
They say it’s especially bad where Damon Road meets Route 9.
One Northampton man said he travels on Damon Road for work, and he’s seeing drivers lose some of their car parts because of the deep potholes.
“The roads are actually really tough,” said Peter Lucia of Northampton. “You end up seeing people losing hubcaps and popping tires. It seems like they haven’t done much to fix it.”
DPW in Northampton said they have been out, filling as many potholes as they can. They said to be patient, they will get filled. It’s a busy time of year for them.
As always, you can report potholes to the city on their website.
