A driver in Northampton was cited after police say they hit a pedestrian who was using a crosswalk Monday morning.

Northampton police Captain John Cartledge told 22News, at 9:01 a.m. a car was traveling down Crafts Avenue when the driver stopped at a stop sign.

Cartledge said the driver looked left, but continued through the crosswalk and hit a pedestrian.

The pedestrian refused medical treatment, and the driver was cited with a crosswalk violation.
