An Easthampton man is dead after suffering injuries while cutting down a tree in Amherst Tuesday morning.
Northwestern District Attorney’s Office spokeswoman Mary Cary told 22News the deadly incident happened on Flat Hills Road around 9 a.m. Tuesday.
The man is said to be 38-years-old.
Amherst and State Police assigned to the DA’s office responded to the incident. No foul play is suspected, the DA’s Office said.
She added that a compliance officer from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration responded to the incident at the request of police and will complete the investigation.
