The City of Easthampton has created a Community Relations Committee whose goal is to improve the quality of life.
The board will be made up of 11 people who will handle quality of life issues such as transportation, education, and housing.
They’ll also make recommendations on improving overall health and safety in Easthampton. The committee will also work closely with the police chief.
The members were chosen on January 2, but mayor Nicole LaChapelle told 22News that one of those applicants became ineligible because they no longer live in Easthampton.
So the search continues for the Committee’s eleventh member.
The 10 remaining appointees will be reviewed by the City Council at their next meeting on January 16.
