NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – One of the largest cannabis rallies in the Northeast is coming back.
You can expect some traffic delays in Northampton during the city’s annual Extravaganja event on Saturday, April 20th.
Extravaganja is a massive party held at the Three County Fairgrounds that celebrates the cannabis culture.
This is the first time the event is being held after several pot shops have opened for recreational marijuana in Massachusetts. Including NETA in Northampton, which opens for recreational pot in November.
Police expect heavy traffic on Route 9 near the Three-County Fairgrounds Saturday.
Something new this year, there is a 12,000 person limit, and you can only buy your tickets online before the event.
You will not be able to purchase tickets at the gates like previous years. You have to be 18 years or older to buy a ticket. The event runs from 11 a.m.- 5.p.m. Saturday.
