Hadley resident gets in holiday spirit with epic display

Hampshire County

Holiday lighting displays are popping up outside homes throughout western Massachusetts.

There’s just something about the holiday season that gets people into the spirit, but some holiday spirits are a little bigger than others and some come in the form of dozens and dozens of inflatables.

A house in Hadley has become a must-see holiday display for neighbors and anyone else in western Massachusetts.

Hours and hours of work went into the display of nearly 100 inflatables and its creator, Riley Quinlan, told 22News he’s still not done!

“I started working probably the day after Thanksgiving and I’ve been working a lot too so when I get home, I start setting up more stuff and again, it’s not completely done, but we’re getting there,” Quinlan said. “It’s probably going to be done by this weekend.”

The display has a little of something for everyone — you want A Christmas Story, there’s an inflatable for that, how about a newer movie, Elf, there’s also inflatable for that as well.

Remember the piece of pop culture the Filet O’ Fish, there’s an inflatable for that too. There are even sound effects!!

While it’s still not complete, neighbors are already driving through Maegan’s Way in Hadley to check it out. Quinlan said he’s glad people come to enjoy his display.

“There are people everywhere, there’s someone coming down the street right now since I’ve had a little bit out, there’s a ton of people here that were coming and looking because they could see it from everywhere,” Quinlan told 22News. “All directions down that side and the other side of the road, you can see it from everywhere so that’s nice.”
