Line still out the door three weeks after NETA’s opening day

Hampshire County

People are still lining up to get into Northampton’s recreational pot dispensary three weeks after it opened.

Neither the line, nor the wait are as long as they were late last month to get into NETA, but employees are outside the facility checking reservations and keeping order in the line.

However, the word is out and people are crossing state lines to buy their cannabis in western Massachusetts.

“NETA was one of the better ones that we read online. Just due to the reviews, they make the process really easy. You can reserve online and then just walk up and show them your confirmation email. And you’re on your way to getting your pot,” said Jacob Washburn of Tampa, Florida.

NETA is one of just two recreational marijuana dispensaries in Massachusetts. A third store is set to open at the INSA medical marijuana dispensary later this month.
