McLadden’s restaurants under new ownership

Hampshire County

A group of western Massachusetts restaurants owners has just purchased a chain of Irish Pubs.

The Picknelly, Vann, and Yee families announced their purchase of McLadden’s restaurants Friday.

The new additions include the McLadden’s restaurants in Northampton, Simsbury, Connecticut and a new location being built in West Hartford.

Yee and Picknelly told 22News they plan on updating the menu, adding entertainment and bringing a new ambiance to the pubs.

“This is a great opportunity for all of us to bring four new exciting restaurants to the communities of Connecticut and Northampton, Massachusetts,” said Yee. “We’re going to keep them enchanted with food and beverage.”

“They’re a great restaurant but what we’re going to do is fortifying the menu a little bit,” Picknelly added. “We’re going to add some of The Fort favorites and some of the favorites that are in the other Yee restaurants.”

Picknelly said improvements to the Northampton location will be made immediately.

The West Hartford restaurant, which has yet to be named, will open in mid-October.
