Northampton Police warning residents after spike in heroin overdoses

Hampshire County

There’s been an apparent spike in heroin overdoses in Northampton.

According to Northampton Police chief Jody Kasper, officers responded to three suspected overdoses Saturday.

The department is warning residents that a “dangerous batch” of heroin may be circulating throughout the community. They believe that fentanyl may be mixed in.

Residents are urged to seek help if struggling with addiction and beware of any potentially mixed drugs.
