SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) – One person has died in a one vehicle crash on River Lodge Road Thursday morning.

Northwestern District Attorney Spokesperson Laurie Loisel confirmed with 22News that the crash involved one vehicle with two people inside the car around 7:00 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle crossed over the center line and crashed into a tree on the opposite side.

A 21-year-old man, identified as Kenny Rivera-Lopez of Martinsville, Virginia, has died in the crash. The driver, a 19-year-old Chicopee man, was taken to Baystate Medical Center for serious injuries.

The crash is being investigated by South Hadley police, State Police and the DA’s office.
